What does 'Cimarron' mean?

Definition:
Wild, untamed, or free-spirited; characterized by a natural ruggedness or a connection to the wilderness. Describing a spirit of adventure and exploration, often associated with the outdoors.
There is a lot of history to the name Cimarron. And while Cimarron does happen to be the given name of our founder (she was named after a song about a wild rose), we thought it a fitting name for a company whose purpose is to connect people to the wild, to the land, to the ecosystems to which we, as humans, belong. We believe connection to the inherent beauty, and sometimes the struggle, allows us to feel the awe of being part of this magnificent planet. Reconnection with nature reduces stress and boosts well-being. It builds resilience, creativity, and a deeper appreciation for the wild. By immersing ourselves in nature, we strengthen our bond with ourselves and with the planet. And that is what Cimarron Wild Adventures is all about.
